This is odd. Now I can access my router just fine.

Not here. Still rolls the little spinning wheel for some length of time without going anywhere.

It's inconsistent. On one out of my four machines afflicted by this upgraded Edge I can occasionally get to my router by its IP address (but never by its name). The other three cannot open the router admin page in Edge under any circumstances.

I have twice had this folder (see image) appear since installing this update. Seems this old issue has returned with the update:

A folder named "Removable Storage Devices" suddenly on my desktop.

Even more than you think @Bree !
I tried it on my newly updated Home laptop. Worked perfectly - ONCE!
Logged out of Router and whatever settings I change in Edge, it will NOT connect to my Router again. (Chrome and IE still OK)
Restarted, ran CCleaner - NOPE! Work that one out!

Had some interesting experiences with 17763.253. On my production PC after the first post-update reboot, I lost access to the Start menu and UWP/Store apps. Ran DISM and SFC checks, but no issues. Poof! After ANOTHER reboot, everything now seems to be working OK. Sometimes, or perhaps too often, Windows 10 is vexingly unfathomable. No such problems on any of my other 4 17763.253 PCs, mostly older machines from the Sandy Bridge and Haswell intel CPU series.
    Sigh.

Any one elses pc waking up randomly from sleep after this January 8th update? Seems like about 75% of windows updates breaks sleep in one way or another! It happens so often I have created an extensive list of things to do when it happens however this time NOTHING seems to fix the issue

Try disabling network adapter's right to wake PC from sleep.

Yet another one failing to connect with Edge to my Router (Askey). Every other browser just works fine. Furthermore can't access my Laptop anymore from my Android and My Phone stopped working. Tried to uninstall the .253 patch and everything turned normal, means working as before.
