What works here is to put the Router webpage address in the Security > Trusted Zone of IE 11.
That fixes the EDGE Browser login access problem.

IE 11 > Internet Options > Security Tab > Trusted sites > Sites > put in website address and probably untick the box below for https: which is the case for mine.
Apply > OK > OK etc, then restart IE 11 and EDGE Browsers.

    Thank you, that worked great!

Very good, it worked for me too. . My only problem was the fact that little box: "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" ought to be unticked for it to work. Fear not, I went back in the security settings, put the tick back, and it still worked in Edge.

That's brilliant! And is as bizarre as it is brilliant! What is odd is that IE works anyway and yet the fix to get Edge working is to alter settings in IE!

No matter - it works, but may I refine your instructions slightly @Helmut ?

Put the Router webpage address in the Security > Trusted Zone of IE 11.

IE 11 > Internet Options > Security Tab > Trusted sites > Sites > untick the box below for https put in website address http:://192.168.0.1

Apply > OK > OK etc, then restart IE 11 and EDGE Browsers.

Then go back and put the tick back in the https box, in case you wish to add another site, it’s set correctly.

Therefore, it ends up looking like this:

    Cumulative Update KB4480116 Windows 10 v1809 Build 17763.253 - Jan. 8-image.png

And it continues to work after a restart, by the way.

Worked a treat here, thanks for the tip It just goes to show how deeply IE is still embedded in Windows.

I think it shows that MS just used IE settings as a convenient place to present system-wide internet security parameters. It is also presented in the control panel somewhere, or at least it used to be.

And it continues to work after a restart, by the way.

To expand a little bit to the above excellent tips I would suggest, since the router is in your intranet, not to add its IP in the Trusted sites, but to the Local intranet section of the "Internet Options", as follows:
Control Panel > Internet Options > Security > Local intranet > Sites > (Check Automatically detect intranet network) > Advanced
and add your router's IP address

You should get something like this (don't mind the printer IP, I added it as my printer is on a static IP and I had the same problem accessing it through Edge. Of course you can do it if yours is also on a static IP address)

    Cumulative Update KB4480116 Windows 10 v1809 Build 17763.253 - Jan. 8-internetoptions.png

And a final notation. The Internet Options Control Panel item, is actually the Internet options of your PC and not Internet Explorer options.
Although it's closely tied up to Internet Explorer, the settings in there apply to all installed browsers and programs which access internet.
