Just tried Sandbox again after leaving PC on for several hours and got a GSoD.
For me, Sandbox didn't work either.

Got the update. This is the first version that I didn't have "no desktop" problems. The last versions since about August, I've had desktop problems. Either I would have to fall back and reinstall again or reinstall after restoring the disc image to the old version.

I have no idea what the problem was, as this is a dual boot system with the Insider on one SSD and my "production" Win 10 on another SSD. I've never had a problem with the regular Win 10 versions.

This one slipped past me yesterday. Both test machines are no on the post-GUI install "Working on updates" (Dell Venue Pro at 27%, XPS 2720 at 86%). I'll report back if any snags should show themselves.
    So far, though, so good.

[PS Added 20 minutes later] XPS 2720 upgraded without issues. Something caused the Venue Pro to fail, downloading right now for second try, jumped right to pending install so download files must've been OK. GUI install 5%. I'll keep you posted...
[PS Added 1.5 days later] Have tried three more times to get the OS upgraded on the Venue Pro. Fails each time. Digging into the Panther logs to look for causes, but not really finding anything useful. It's failing on the final reboot, just before the new OS normally starts up. Anybody have any ideas on how to get at this issue, or should I just wait for the next upgrade and try again?

Yes, Woodyard! I'm pretty sure I had that problem in 18305; I've been trying to change my theme, but so far, none of what I've downloaded will work.

So, it's not just me, I guess.
I also can't install Edge extensions. Can you @Wynona ?

I also can not change or install new themes in 18309 or 18305. The Store says that Bing 2018 Exclusive was downloaded and installed but it does not appear in Settings, Themes. This seems to be a first time issue.

I agree; so anxious to create some new, nonsensical app or component and paying no attention to basic functionality that all of us relies upon.

    Hi there

    @Cliff S
I got that defect too -- the language change freezes when you go into advanced settings and copy new language to current and new user accounts (language-->advanced settings).

Some people report also that you can't install new themes from the store although they download OK. You can change existing installed themes. I didn't experience that problem myself but others have had it.

I got another defect in VMWare -- sometimes trying to remove a USB drive (remove and re-attach to the host) the VM hangs. On re-booting the Host the VM just stays in a blank screen. Re-installing VMWare seems to fix this (or restoring the VM).
The problem with USB devices seems random and I suspect it's a HOST (Windows) problem rather than VMWare.

Still this is a test build so one has to expect errors -- the Language problem though seems to me to be inexcusable on a new build. Problems in VMWare etc I can understand but not with the base functionality of Windows - including management of external USB devices.

    Cheers
