Thank-you Brink for all you do! As often happens, clicking on the link in the System Update section of Win10 to see what changes are occurring, doesn't show anything but an empty page at Microsoft.com..

Enough people use Internet Explorer to cause this emergency fix?

Well, they slithered in an update on me today when I wasn't looking...thought I was running 17763.168--turns out it is 17763.194, and no idea why it isn't .195. But, as it is about to be absorbed and engulfed by 18305, it scarcely matters. On with the download...

Build 17763.194 is for the RTM/Released version of Win10 [got it on 4 computers] while Build 18305.xx is for the IP/Insider Preview version [getting it now on my 2 IP computers].

Christmas gift from MS! One of those unwanted ones. Hope they give us all a rest from the constant updates over the holidays now. Fortunately it was quick and uneventful
Can they give us all some Surface books and studios over the holidays? Everyone who posted to this thread between 12/19 and 12/20 up through 3:14 AM?

Thanks @Brink. Pasting KB4483235 into Google search brings up your festive avatar on the main page lol.

Windows update installed this update, requested reboot and promptly gave a BSOD:

    Cumulative Update KB4483235 Windows 10 v1809 Build 17763.195 - Dec. 19-kb4483235-update.jpg

After resetting the the PC, the patch had been applied, rebooted itself and booted it up the second time with no issues.

Looks to me that Windows can fix BSODs by itself sometimes...
