Update to "Known Issues" for 18305.1003 in first post.
Didn't work before the update, doesn't work after the update, doesn't work after uninstall.

I think Microsoft has a mess on its hands.

    Yuh huh . . .

Still, though, look where we wouldn't be if it weren't for Microsoft.

I wonder what would have happened if IBM's OS/2 had come out on top. It was technically streets ahead of Windows at the time.

IBM gave up on PCs after fiasco with Ps/2 and after they started selling IBM compatible PCs (Patriot) and so OS/2 bit the dust. It was too advanced anyway. They didn't know it at the time but the day they let Billy run the DOS show, they were out of the game. IBM has miscalculated need and future of PCs until it was too late. If they didn't it would be same as Apple now.

Yes PS2s were ridiculously expensive. OS/2 survived on servers for a while until Windows caught up technically.

Worst part is that they had own buses and connectors. Some good did come from them though. Ps/2 mouse and KB and precursor to PCI bus. It was also closed system needing a license to IBM to make parts.
