For the Sandbox -- in principle a good idea but these are real limitations

Device sharing could be better as well as networking .

If I were a teacher writing a school report I'd say -- "Tried hard - but could do a lot better"

Finally those of you using Hasleo Wintousb -- this version breaks the fix they had for version 1809 of Win 10 -- you can't create this on a Wintogo type of drive with the Wintousb product.

Re. 2 - you could at least make incremental image backups before you shutdown Sandbox (and of current pc state before yiu revert to the saved open sandbox incremental).

I do not use incrementals much but this seems a good workaround

1) is annoying.

3) is definitely a severe limitation.

I have not yet tried sandbox - how does it use RAM ie is it dynamic or can you set a limit.

I agree, but IE isn't the only thing creating unneccessary dependencies. A complete rewrite of Windows would solve all that. MS claim they have rewritten Windows from scratch many times, but that is total BS. It's just copy paste of code and some tweaks here and there.

Only thing Windows needs is the kernel, a good scheduler and memory manager, multiple security layers, a driver layer and some internal services in the kernel that ties it all together. The rest can be completely independent from each other.

Yep, but L***X is not W*****$! That's the difference.

Windows has so much potential, and when finally things start to work properly and most dependencies are disconnected, someone adds back most of that bloat and other garbage to the system, rendering all the good progress totally useless. I don't understand why they do it that way every time.

Off topic a bit but remembered you suggesting an Intel one for my old APU machine that struggled with WinX. Gone the Mint way and the CPU has a lot less work to do

Cool! That's what Linux is great for, among other things. If something hogs resources, just get rid of it. In most cases nothing will break. Try that in Windows and it is very likely the whole system becomes unbootable.

I think he was referring to VMWare or other virtualization platforms beyond Hyper-V. There's a lot of compatibility issues when Windows hypervisor is enabled.
