I haven't been on the Insider Track for several months but today I just received the brand new Microsoft Annual Report in the mail. While eating lunch I was thumbing through all of my favorite sections of the Microsoft 2018 Annual Report (my collection goes back to 1985, complete) and it all seemed so cheery that I decided to re-join the Insider Program and see what was happening.

The out of focus login screen is a feature - not a bug. Seriously.

    Of course it is...

The blur is meant to take your attention away from the beautiful picture you set there on purpose and focus your attention on the dialog box, which by the way, takes a succession of 4 simple numbers I could tap out blindfolded!!!
So..., no point in any of it!!!

Just to address one point of yours. The logon screen being badly out of focus is by design (as of now). It is the new and improved MS "Blurred to Focus" logon screen. Their rationale is that by blurring everything except the pic and the box, you stay Focused on the task of signing in. Don't shoot the messenger! MS seems to think it's cool. Hmmmmmm
Yep, it's called Depth of Field and it's a special effect used in computer games and movies and/or television today. Your main account photo is sharply focused while the background is blurred. I'll bet that Microsoft will allow the user to turn it off at some point, if it isn't possible now. I don't mind it, really.

Yep, if it fails to launch because of other hypervisor conflicting, only way to get VMWare Workstation to work again is to reinstall it. It is totally broken.

I haven't seen a screenprint of the Sandbox on this thread (except for the Hypler-V example) so I thought I;d post it. If you have installed the Hyper-V feature you won't need to reboot - otherwise, this feature will require a reboot.

    Hi there
Just backing up old system first -- will install this build today via update from standard current build (not insider -- version 195) and then re-install VMWare and test. Going to install this build from the ISO I've downloaded (UUPDUMP)

I certainly want to have a go with the sandbox feature -- I want to try running a VM in it too, as well as messing around with the subsystem for Linux -- the sandbox idea is good since it doesn't mess up your system when trying out these things -- messing about getting a GUI working in the WSL installs a load of stuff on your system --in a sandbox you can just get rid of it when you want to.

    Cheers

I am looking forward to testing Sandbox out, but it will have to wait until this evening as it's my last day of work today.
