I had the same experience. If you want Sandbox do NOT install 1003! Who uses IE anyway? It should be shelved.
A lot of people have continued to use IE since it was present as part of Windows early on. As for Sandbox, I used sandbox every time my college updated software—we played with revisions to get used to the changes- in sandbox.

On this new version of windows
Keyboard not responding to f1 on start-up to get into bios
Can’t get into bios with pressing f1 key on start-up

Pain in the neck, I know there are many other ways of getting into bios but this way has always been the easiest
Not sure if it started with this new version of windows as I haven’t had any reason to get to bios for a while now.

I’m trying to resolve the problem below by updating the bios, maybe

“There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later.
    NVIDIA - Display - 11/2/2018 12:00:00 AM - 25.21.14.1681 -Error 0x800703e3”

I think the Nvidia driver already installed on my device is newer than the one windows is trying to install and that may be the reas0n it’s not installing.

    Hi there
problem again with VMWare after using and disabling Sandbox

Once the sandbox is disabled and system re-booted you can re-run VMWare again but then Bridged networking seems to have gone AWOL.

I think with this release you'll have to choose whether you want to use VMWare or Sandbox.

For the Sandbox -- in principle a good idea but these are real limitations

    1) Can't change / create size of Sandbox's "C" drive or its location either

    2) Can't save end of session so you always have to start with a brand new sandbox

    3) can't install anything that requires you to re-boot ---i.e you can't re-boot the sandbox.

Device sharing could be better as well as networking .

If I were a teacher writing a school report I'd say -- "Tried hard - but could do a lot better"

Finally those of you using Hasleo Wintousb -- this version breaks the fix they had for version 1809 of Win 10 -- you can't create this on a Wintogo type of drive with the Wintousb product.

    Cheers

Windows and drivers don't have anything to do with ability to enter BIOS because they are not active or running at that time. You may have Fast /express BOOT enabled in BIOS and that gives you extremely short time to enter BIOS. Try also to spam Del key, it should also work.
If you are going to update BIOS version, you have to set CMOS/BIOS to factory defaults before and after that update.

    Beware:

As originally reported by @slicendice, 1003 still breaks SANDBOX (never starts). A restore to 1000 fixed it.
Well, that brakes all records of a short lived feature, it (Sandbox) lasted what, whole day or so ??? Just shows how integrated IE is in whole system. I disabled IE and Sanbox still doesn't work.

    Hi folks
    @CountMike
    @Edwin

I hate edge so IE 11 is enabled but I usually use FF or Opera. I don't like Chrome particularly either.

My tests were on the version before the 1003 IE11 update so I don't know if the Sandbox is broken on that release.
I hope Ms keep pressing on with the Sandbox idea -- seems a decent feature if it could work sensibly with those options I posted about 3 posts back in this thread.

I would also like to see some improvements in the WSL (Linux subsystem) where you can install Linux programs that need a GUI or at least an X-Server -- you can get some working but it's a bit of a convoluted process.

Most of the other "Improvements" or "Features" IMO so far are just cosmetic - perhaps W10 should morph into a serious professional version (without all the silly games / Xbox stuff etc), a decent games type version for people who really want those types of activities, and a stripped down Enterprise version for roll out across corporate LAN's etc for company supplied laptops etc.

Another good feature Windows could implement -- Improve HYPER-V so it's easier to connect peripheral devices and non Windows OS's and why not also have a built in VPN for users that will work straight out of the box.

    Cheers

    Ho folks

Sandbox works -- simply from the menu type sandbox

VMWare won't though work though if you enable sandbox.

    Attachment 217943

Note also you can with network browsing view the sandbox's drives.

    Attachment 217944

Anybody tried VBOX and Sandbox active at the same time

    Cheers

Obviously Sandbox is using a type 1 hypervisor mechanism.

I would imagine you have to disable the hypervisor in same way as for hyper-v.

This is easily done by creating a second boot bcd entry in same way as hyper-v

    Worth a try.
