PSWindowsUpdate has a serious size detection problem...hasn't it?

    KB4471332 82GB 2018-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based System
No, that's the full size of the update that contains everything. A version upgrade can be over 200GB but only a fraction of that applies to individual computers, since you can't have Home, Pro, Pro for Wks, Education, S and Enterprise installed at the same time in one instance. There are different files for different editions of Windows.

Ahaaaa….then my sincere apologies to Michal Gajda!
    Thank you for the info!

BTW just noticed that he released Version 2.1.0.1, a few days ago!

    No harm done!

The situation is the same for install media. You can have over 100GB worth of data on a single DVD because it is configured to contain all Windows editions, but still the DVD image takes only 5-8GB.

This means that some files are only physically applied once to the image, but can be used for multiple editions.

Since updating to build 17763.194 I see a weird progress bar when emptying the Recycle Bin.

    Anyone else seeing this?

Cheers, I hadn't even noticed that it was set to show more details. Think I've got my stupid head on today

Good for you! I'm in my tenth year. Some good, some not so good. But I am one Happy Old Geezer. Enjoy the weekend @DooGie
