@Wynona Not every instance of sound drivers problem could be fixed by Generic drivers (that's what that High Def. Audio … is). Worth a try, but my Realtek drivers are working fine.

Deleting that registry entrance didn't do anything.

Dang . . . it looks like only the IDT thing works so far. Another denizen bombed out on the driver update the same (more or less) as you have.

Just installed this. No issues so far.
