    The Shadows are back:

I made a comparison with the previous animations and some of them are different, it can be said that now the animations are "normal":

    Animations before and now.

I hate to say this but I just installed 18298 and had no problems with the install and no bounces. It installed in 35 minutes and I have sound with my Realtek HD Audio. Don't know why but it is working very well.

    Hi folks
@CountMike --tested VBOX and HYPER-V with this build as well.

for users of VM software (with this build as HOST) VBOX and HYPER-V both work "as advertised". However VMWARE both workstation and player cause GSOD (hard stop) with kernel security failure when you try and power on (boot) VM so no improvement for that defect with this release. Note the Guest OS (i.e the VM) can be either Linux or Windows -- no problem.

Version of vmware I'm using is version 15.0.2

That driver, "High definition audio device" Is what I'm told to restart computer to finish installation but never installs. Don't really need it or want it because "Realtek High definition audio" works fine.
Just to mention that it started in 18290 build.

    Hi folks
I can import VMware created VM's into VBOX as a get around (note you have to install the extensions to import VMWare virtual disks). You don't lose the VM as it can still be used with VMware (when the problem is fixed).

I Haven't used vbox a lot but I do believe it can decently snapshot VM's too which is what I need anyway. Will do some more testing with this. If I couldn't snapshot the VM's then VBOX wouldn't have been any use for me either however snapshotting looks as if it might actually work. !!!!

    Cheers

Finally got my Skippy VM to upgrade. But why is Edge still talking about the October update? Guess programmers are leaving that team in scores.

The VMware issue is an isolated incidence on specific computers, most processors are not affected and VMware works fine.
This is per VMware support forum topic
