Here are my drivers in 18290. Note that my IDT HD is included in this Build.
    Attachment 217104
And here's what it looks like in Build 18298

Note the difference between the two:
update that unknown device with the drivers I linked.

Here is also one answer from MS forums (dated 2015):
    1. Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on Device Manager.
    2. Select Driver tab.
    3. Click Update Driver... button.
    4. Select -> Browse my computer for driver software.
    5. Select -> Let me pickup a list of device drivers on my computer.
    6. Select High Definition Audio Device (Not IDT High Def... this is important.) and click Next.
Appears Warning message, but reply Yes.
    7. ! Windows has successfully update your driver software.

    Key is step 6.

Andre, go back and read the half a gazillion edits I made on that last post. I think you may understand why I don't think it will work.

Besides, I've already rolled back to 18290.

Wynona, I did a roll back and then did a full install. No go. And your driver problem—the IDT codec—same as mine and same message. Oh well, maybe next build. And what Andreten suggested, I did that and selected high def codec and it did not work. So there you are. Thank you Microsoft for screwing up our computer system. At least I didn’t have anything planned for today, so that’s part of being a ‘test’ person — maybe our feedback will do some good.

    Short nap, Andre.

I know I'm crazy, but with the CODEC updated (yes, it needed updating; I think this is a way old PCI card), I'm going to chance it and let 18298 reinstall. Worst case scenario is that I still won't have any sound and will have to roll back again.

Oh, my Gosh! I just reread your 'key is no 6' and retried it and it does work. I had tried it before but selected IDT
    Thank you

Yes, tomorow I'll roll back to 18290 and wait for another release.
Emilcioran99 - read post # 160 carefully. See if you follow directions - especially step 6, and see if it works. I had reread this and did it and it worked. I have sound again.

Interesting - we all have different configurations some of which work and some not. I rolled back to previous build again but am doing a clean install to see if that makes any difference — probably not but what the heck, worth a try.
Hey how come I dont have the option to roll back? It’s greyed out...
