Installed 18298 3 times and returned to 18290 and again to 18290 with hope that sound works again.
Installed over 18290, returned to 18290. Cleaned and format the ssd and installed fresh 18298...
Nothing works to make sound back again.
Now I'm on a clean installed 18298 and it's weird without sound...

I would start with chipset drivers from mainboard manufacturer..

Wynona, I found the folder from my windows 10 17763 and copied the folder to this build. It installed in the 17763 version (Oct release) so I figured it would install on this. I start the install program and about half way through it, I get an error message saying this version of the hardware is not supported by this software. How about that. And the previous build and 17763 all have this same version on it. I don't think this is a problem of ours --- it is a Microsoft screw up. And BTW, the microphone doesn't work either, so video camera flags with message about no microphone.

Ah, what I thought would happen, emilcioran99. There are too many main boards involved for it to be just an OEM chip set problem. Yours is Intel and mine is AMD.

I would have taken that sucker back and gotten a different brand!

That's what I tought also.
Waiting from M$ a new build to repair this bug and... to ruin... something else.

If past experience is anything to go by it will take several builds before it's fixed.

Tried before a Dell, MSI, HP laptops in same price but this was what I choose.
From my experience I knew that it's not a good ideea to buy a new released model because always a short period of time after model launch will be problems with the drivers and always wil be certain bugs at launching but I assumed this and buy it.
The laptop is great and I'm happy and have no rebuke of conscience at all.
Only M$ ruined my happyness with this bug.
