    I noticed logging in takes longer than usual since the update.. is this only me ? Anyone else seeing this?

    Also when I used To boot at the log screen if I wouldn’t enter password right away it would pre load and I would see my lock screen
    Logging was faster cause everything was loading in the background
    This isn’t happening

    @Steven Campoli:
    The fact you used to be transferred to lock screen is strange, of course the log in screen remembers the last logged on user and always preloads the data, I even let it do that, and wait about 10 seconds, otherwise the log on to desktop is sluggish, many startup items. I believe it's superfetch at work, however, I have actively DISABLED the lock screen, which you would otherwise see instead of the log in screen, if only one user is present on the system. That interaction between those screens must have been changed recently between retail and insider builds.

    As long as that is the only thing wrong, It could be the least of our problems. On-the-go stability is more important I think

    Could be memory management related? Large system cache, keep more data in ram, etc. Those are some tweaks cyrcling the web, also I would set my page file to a constant, maybe upgrade to more ram or a faster nvme ssd is in order.

    I don’t think so, I never had this issue before. Profile would preload without a issue. Nothing happens at the Log in screen.

    Update

    Have had a struggle to get my old hp laptop to update. It continues to try. I’ve done all the tricks I know. May have to wind up doing a clean install. I’m on install attempt #7. Three other computers updated with the usual single failure then installing without problems and seemingly running without problems.

    ‘Laptop finally updated. All other computers have sound, this one has the sound issue—drivers have been replaced—-leave it to Microsoft to screw with sound drivers that work, replacing them with their generic drivers that don’t work!
