Just done the latest updates and after first restart I clicked WU again just in case another update was there. It picked up KB4469342 again and I had to reboot once more to complete the install. Now I have 2 (KB4469342). Attaching a image of update history.Attachment 216301
    Anyone else have this happen?

As luck would have it the bosses computer did the exact same thing.
So far all the others I have done have only wanted to install it once.

    Same here.

I'm hoping this update finally fixes the brightness issue. MS said it was fixed with the last CU but it wasn't.

The problem with Edge and 'Content Process' stopping working in the background still isn't fixed. My reliability score is still an impressive straight line 1 out of 10. Every boot sees the same error.

I also wonder why all the CU's (for myself and some others) fail to install first time around. That happened again today and so I restored back and reapplied via the update catalogue.

According to the changelog, it's fixed:

I was looking at the changelog of the previous public CU (KB4467708) and there Microsoft doesn't say that they have fixed the problem of brightness.

It failed because a Servicing Stack Update was needed first. For some reason Servicing Stack Updates never show in the history. This also happened in the Release Preview when .168 and earlier releases went in.

After spending all that time with the release preview item for .168, I ended up missing this yesterday. Thanks for sharing the info about the Servicing Stack Update (SSU) pre-requisite, @Brink. I did not get the 4469342 update on my production PC at first, but when I manually downloaded and installed KB4470788 on that PC, it came through immediately after that installation completed. All five 17763 PCs here at the house are now running the .168 point release. In the words of the Dead (the Grateful Dead, that is): "What a long, strange trip it's been."
    Thanks again,

    Hello Ed,

I'm surprised KB4470788 didn't come down via Windows Update for you, but glad you got it all sorted out.

Only on the one machine, for some odd reason, @Brink. Your timely and informative first post prepared me to understand (and fix) what was amiss. Thanks again, and happy holidays to you and your family, too.
Will you be attending the MVP Summit in March 2019?
