Good point! No addon's! Addons are the work of the devil.

I will look at any tab settings.

Edge settings are as they have always been, open "new tabs" and "show Top Sites".

A new tab does open with Top Sites but when middle clicking on a link of the shortcut bar these sites hang.

Problem is worse after visiting youtube.com?!?!

I've also runs full virus scan and nothing found.
Why middle click? Addons could be just fine. I would miss some of mine

What is worse after visiting YouTube?

    Hi folks

Edge (IMHO a hideous browser anyway) surely isn't biggest isuue here - there's much more serious issues to deal with -- I mean as far as browsers are concerned you can always use Chrome / Firefox etc.

However if you need serious programs like VMWare Workstation / Vmplayer (because you run a load of Virtual machines) or you need to operate in several diffent languages and the system fails -- that's much more of a real issue as there's no get around.

OK I know so many people are infatuated by browser speed and all sorts of browser centric things -- but given the fact that one can invariably use different ones shouldn't make this a serious issue when defects are found.

Not being able to run "Grown up Adult Software" such as VMWare Virtual Machine creation and running type of things is a much more serious concern I would suggest than defects with Edge which a whole slew of people don't like anyway.

Also for non Native English speakers - the foreign language options should work as well -- I don't think Ms is buying into Brexit or whatever - but surely developers of the new releases at Ms should have at least tested this stuff -- it's a GLOBAL company now.

I'm happy to test stuff but these types of mistakes are really stupid so I do wonder what's up with the QA these days.

    Cheers

Coincidence, maybe, but that matches up with the 19H1, half year theme. I know, dumb!

Have not had my insider SSD connected for the last week or so. Installed it and immediately upon boot up, the ssd was in full hyper activity mode. So much that the response on the desktop was very sluggish. Eventually after 2 minutes I was able to check for updates and noticed that it was well into download of 18290. Second time this has happened that upon boot up, the next update was well under way, perhaps a good thing???? It took a little over an hour and is now up and running. (No bouncing)

The previous build, 18282, had 4 partitions, now 18290 has 5 with another recovery partition added to the end. Not sure why this happens as the regular non insider version remains at 4 partitions. Same computer, different physical ssd.

In trying to clean up 18290 after the install, I noticed that the box will not allow a selection (check) to clean up the previous version of Windows?
