    and it seems that I'm seeing some new reports that Win10 v1803 users are receiving KB4346084 as an automatic update or thru windows update (when using some affected Intel CPUs) instead of KB4100347. so it looks like KB4346084 is no longer a Catalog-only update and does replace KB4100347

    yup - as with KB4465065 for v1809, KB4346084 for v1803 (the 2019-02 version) is also being delivered thru Windows Update after a recent WU metadata change this June and no longer being an MS Catalog only update

    per MS security advisory ADV190013 about new microcode updates for 1803:

    Important Please note that at the release of this advisory, microcode updates provided by Microsoft for Intel processors are not available for the following versions of Windows. These microcode updates will be released at a later date. Microsoft recommends that customers running these versions of Windows install applicable Windows updates and obtain microcode updates for Intel-based devices from their OEM::

    • Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems
    • Windows Server, version 1803 (Server Core Installation)
    • Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems
    • Windows Server 2019
    • Windows Server 2019 (Server Core installation)
    MS has recently released the KB4494451 Intel microcode update for v1803 this Tue. 6/18 (make a note of this Brink):
