WU did an auto update check at 11:51AM today and no updates. Guess this system is not on the list.

I have been running WU since yesterday and this update is not offered on my 3 system.

I downloaded the update from the MS Update Catalog and install with it.

    MS Windows Update blows.

This CU is considered a Feature Update, as it is not in the normal Quality updates released on Patch Tuesday (2nd Tuesday of each month).

Check if you have deferred Feature Updates. If you have, like I did to avoid installation of v. 1809, make sure both numbers in the screenshot below are set to 0.

Just updated (once I deferred to 0 days, it was immediately offered by WU)

    Everything normal so far...

I assumed that was the reason since I had Feature update set to 120 days and I received the 1803 CU update and all the others on Update Tuesday.

MS is so stupid as this CU should not be a Feature update. It even states in the description that it contains no new features. This the same statement on every CU.

This update includes quality improvements. No new operating system features are being introduced in this update.

I will not change my delay to 0 as MS would probable push 1809 on me.

    One finger salute to MS

This CU is an Out-of Band update and should be the same as the ones on Update Tuesday.

    Jim,
It might as well be a "D" release....

I did this update yesterday, all appears to have gone well (nothing broken).

The general public should not get the C and D releases as they are Preview releases for testing and are included in the next Patch Tuesday update.

In a "perfect Microsoft world", with no Insiders, no Preview Releases, no Slow/Fast/Skip Ahead rings, but with a solid Microsoft testing team, that would be true... but it isn't a perfect Microsoft World, is it?

That is true and they prove it every day. I think it was 2 years ago when MS fired a bunch of testers and we got 1803 and 1809.

Well I have my old fateful workaround.
