We've heard from you that the 20 second Video Messages you can send from your laptop or desktop computer are just not long enough. We've been hard at work to increase the limit for you, and we're happy to say this is being rolled out to Insiders today!

You can now record and send Video Messages up to three minutes in length! This is the same length of time that was available in Skype 7, and will hopefully give you all the room you need to get your message across.

Skype Insider Preview // Save data & improve your audio call quality by turning off incoming video // 8.35.76.65

Available for Store app for Windows 10 PC, iPhone, iPad, Android 6+, and Android Tablets, Desktop app for Windows, Mac, and Linux Web

Poor network connection? In the car and not looking at your phone? Want to save data while on the go? Now you can by disabling incoming video in our latest Skype Insider build! You can find the option under the + button when you are in a call.

As part of this change, we are also cleaning up some clutter in the overflow menu for calling on mobile devices. We are removing some redundant and unused items in order to make room for the new features like disabling incoming video.
