We've been hard at work updating messaging in Skype based on your feedback, we hope you enjoy these changes!
To see these updates, be sure to download the latest Skype build at https://www.skype.com/en/get-skype/
Within Messaging Settings, you can now:
- Manage whether links show with or without preview cards in your conversations. On mobile you can decide if the links open in Skype or in your default browser. [released in 8.33]
- Control the font size of your conversation [released in 8.33 for desktop & 8.34 for UWP]
- Control the behavior of the Enter key, choose between sending a message by hitting Enter or adding a new line [released in 8.33 for desktop & tablet apps]
In our latest Skype build, you can now:
- Hide or archive your conversations. You can also find all your hidden conversations in a single place. Simply open the Recent Chats menu and select "Hidden Chats" [released in 8.32]
- Load more results from your message search if you can't find your messages in the first 20 returned. Once you reach the bottom of the results, click "more" to load more messages [released in 8.33]
- Save audio files like voice messages to your device [released in 8.32]
- Save your date and time format following your systems format [released in 8.33]
- Drag content from the desktop, or other conversations, to any conversation in your chat list [released in 8.34]
- Share your Skype contacts in your conversations [released in 8.34]
- On Android, expand and respond to notifications from your lock screen [released in 8.34]
Coming soon for Skype Insiders:
- On your desktop, you'll be able to select the folder location for file downloads
