It seems a bit faster to load than the desktop release.

Store App doesn't have all the features of Desktop App.

I know but all I use it for is to chat to my son and his family in NZ.

Diffs are mainly a bunch of fancy vid stuff and the like. Store app can cross the equator all by itself!

    Using Skype for Hugging substitute

Is there an update to this tutorial about latest updates and the "Meet Now" option? I have tried it but not with much success. The Help pages on the Skype website are so vague as to be of little help! With family in Svendborg Kommune, New York and London we would find a better explanation of great help. (As the youngest potential Meet Member of our group is 61 and the oldest 87, we would really appreciate being able to communicate better via Skype.)

This video might help YouTube and there's a more in depth video under the 'up next' list.

Edit: arrange the meeting via email and set an appropriate time for the different time zones.

I was hoping that an excellent Ten Forums tutorial might become available one day! I found long ago that trying to learn anything from a video doesn't work for me. I need some text and pictures (screenshots for example) so that I can look at a fixed page that doesn't keep moving around! Also, like a book, where I can go back and forward at my own pace. Or even leave the text on a page while I try the operation on my screen with the text and the programme it applies to side by side.

I can't remember what was said/shown at the beginning etc of a video which is a linear experience. Flicking back through pages is MUCH easier than trying to pick up something that only lasted a fraction of a second some minutes ago.

I get the very basic idea of Meet Now but as the phrase has it, the devil is in the details
As one example that needs a proper screenshot - how many "meeters" can fit on one screen and what does that look like?

I tried to look at the Skype Insider pages for more detail, but could not find references to Win 10 Skype for Desktop, only to Skype for postage stamp size screens! No use to me.
