    Agree, agree!

I don't always agree with Woody, but I think he's correct on this one. His opinion, I mean. RP was/is intended just for this purpose....test! Before sending out to the masses. Just IMO.....

Kudos to Microsoft: Resurrecting the Release Preview ring for Win10 1809 brings 17763.165 to heel | Computerworld
But 2 days after a release??

No reason not to, if they have something worthy of testing in RP, in prep for the "C"/"D" cadence dance Tuesday, the 20th or 27th.

There are still problems with some AMD chips (APUs I think) and they didn't get 1809 update. May well be RP of their update. Guess this would be the right way then...

Well, I went back to the article and re-read several times. I can find no reference to the phrase "too much", so I have no idea what you are trying to say. Sorry.

This Build was not the best one that MS has ever released. How many times was it pulled? Over a Month with no word from MS..="Too Much".. I was not referring to the article.

My issue is lack of any communication as to what this is all about. Never mind the build, what are we to make of a release that has no information attached to it??? Are we looking for something — maybe we could give feedback if we knew what the desired outcome is all about. And I don’t think it needs to be an article from anyone other than Microsoft - not Computerworld

Oh, ok. You said Woody and me, so I assumed it was in reference to the article. My misinterpretation. Apologies.

This is how it has always been (almost), those who are in the RP ring receive these cumulative updates first, test them and then those CUs go to Production, the RP ring is for that.
That is how it should have been but MS rarely released CUs to RP first apart from final run in to build release. They seem to be actively following the intent now.
