Well , if we could only bring back the icons , shown on the list of "open with " items ( apps) we are done !
When using latest github-version , you will see blue context-items and not spread out anymore , just like the old Classic ContextMenu from 1803. ( not talking about the taskbar , but only right-click contextmenu in explorer )
Only problem left ; the right-click icons are missing ( not shown) , so we have to fix this and we are "thumbs up" !

Maybe the next release of 1809 will be final?? MS should just put everyone in The RP as there is a new CU every month anyway.

Why is there no release notice or anything from Microsoft for this update, is it malware?

It appears so Toni, I searched for around 40 minutes earlier today and couldn't find anything about it.

I think they may well be forcing users to Linux. A Friend of mine did a clean install of 1809 last night as he thought it was final. Now only is it not final to get the CU, you have to join the insiders program. MS has not only gone silent, they have gone daft.

This is how it has always been (almost), those who are in the RP ring receive these cumulative updates first, test them and then those CUs go to Production, the RP ring is for that.

    Agree, agree!

I don't always agree with Woody, but I think he's correct on this one. His opinion, I mean. RP was/is intended just for this purpose....test! Before sending out to the masses. Just IMO.....

Kudos to Microsoft: Resurrecting the Release Preview ring for Win10 1809 brings 17763.165 to heel | Computerworld
