Perhaps off topic, but started using SF 2017 dark theme on tenforums. (bottom of FF right side) i.e. Kado's signature just pops out.

Been using it for ages. I really like the dark shades. Only problem is if someone decides to post some dark text.

@f14tomcat - when I try to run UUP Dump I get blocked by Windows Defender. What do I need to do to be able to download the program and run it?

Yeah, as have I - I was one of the biggest supporters of this when it was first made on the SF sister site. Makes things a lot easier to read, except when folks use an external editor (such as Word) to compose their posts, and then copy them into the forum software, which, for some odd reason, also copies in font colors....

Alternative is the live website UUP dump

It takes some getting used to - but if you used the miniserver before, it's pretty much the same, except that near the end you get a choice of either just DLing the files, or DL and convert to .ISO, which is what I used - it DLs a small (3.x MB) .ZIP archive and then you unzip that to a local folder and run the .cmd file inside and it does everything automagically.

If you build on an existing Windows 10 machine, it also creates the .ISO *with* the recovery tools built in.

That's happening now. Both Defender and MBAM are tagging it as a Trojan, and zapping it. Happened to others, too....Kari, also. For some reason, the original alpha is fine. Go figure. Something in his new code is "harmful" looking.

After I attempted to DL the local dumpserver files on Tuesday evening and everything and their mothers throwing up Trojan warnings lol, I used the above to make the .ISO of 18282, which I then used to clean install Tuesday night.

    Worked like a champ,

Yes, it does! And takes a little getting used to, as you say. But, works great.

I guess the author is probably using a packer such as UPX on the .exe, packers are well known for throwing up FPs in AV apps. I've just downloaded beta 5 and that is showing the same alerts when I upload it to Virus Total. I'm going to look into this a bit more.
Think I'll download one of the 7-zip versions and see what results I get on Virus Total for that.
