Hi there

to all microsoft developers :

why not allow a proper SU (root) or SUDO type access as per Linux distros for managing software / installing or even updating the OS, updates or other software.

That way at least users would have to login to these types of accounts deliberately before performing any type of action which could compromise / wreck their systems.

You would also then get some sort of audit trail and users wouldn't just be able to destroy the OS without having logged on to a special account in the first place.

Yep, didn't fix it.
Then I did a chkdsk /f on the SSD. Several fixes were made so tried the update again. Went round and round three times then aborted again. I give up. Just have to hope this is not going to permanently stop my Insiders from updating.

That is essentially how Windows should be setup. 99.99% of all users however ignore this fact and run as Admin. The user account system and permissions is a complete mess in Windows because MS has tried to work around this security flaw introduced by the majority of Windows users.

System management is very easy and very straight forward on Linux.

Correct. There's nothing wrong with fried fish, as long as it's the right fish, and you don't use the crap oils. And fish protein is excellent protein.

I find salt water fish most tasty when fried in unrefined olive oil. For some it may be strange taste and smell but it's uniquely Mediterranean feel. Served with boiled potatoes and Italian salad dressing with garlic. Very healthy too. Can ad some pasta and drink red vine. preferably Prosecco.

I found the build in which this change was made, it was in build 18262, in the previous build (18252), after restarting, this still appeared, in build 18262, this appears. I first used macrium images to find the build in which the change was made and then, to be 100% sure, I made clean installations of both builds, another way to verify that the change was made in that build is because it appears in English and not in the installation language, some may not know this but, when Microsoft changes something in some build, it almost always appears in English and in the next build is already translated.

if I had made an iso I would offer it but I’ve been bad and haven’t made iso for last few builds. I’m sure there are some of the forum who would offer an iso if you want.
