It would be ActiveX but no, I don’t think this is the reason entirely. Because W7 is also an ActiveX stronghold due to IE11 and no Edge then until MS break this functionality no one will migrate or write around it. #Legacy
You are right about that. Win 7 is also part of the replacement problem. According to my understanding, Edge will Not replace IE11 until the time there are no more life support cycles for both Enterprise and Win7 still running on previous builds to Win 10.

To tell the truth, I was finding the initial .1 release surprisingly trouble-free. As new features updates go, this one seemed to have very few glitches (apart from the big one, of course).

1803 was quite the opposite, rough, unpolished, with lingering Insider telemetry still present (remember the feedback frequency still being controlled by the Insider program?). That one I didn't consider ready for release until 17134.112. Apparently Microsoft thought so too, having updated the MCT ISO to .112.

My progress was the same .1 to .55 were pretty close together I had none of the issues reported MS is going to have to screw up more to keep us busy here

May as well ride the wave

I had installed the 1809 release as soon as available, and had no significant problems (I store all data files on separate physical disk from OS, backups 2 deep), but reverted to 1803 to see how the problems were addressed (and progressed, as it turned out) by MS.

Now I decided to proceed with progress, and clean installed 1809 17763.107, updated to .134, and all seems well. One little matter that first showed up on my original trial of 1809 - MS Update tries to download and install an older Intel Graphics driver (as shown in screen clips below) - Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Also, I officially hate the new Snip & Sketch - who uses PNG files anyhow?
I looked it over and found no way to save in any format other than PNG, so I used "Open with" from the goat droppings menu (. . .) to send it to Paint, and saved to good ol' JPG. Have I missed some way to do this directly from Snip & Sketch?

Anyhow, I hope we are all as pleased with the new 1809 a month from now...
