I was offered the new feature update yesterday from WU. I had some problems with the installation process that seemed to hang but after a reboot the downloading/installing process went just fine.I am now on 1809 version but I see THOUSANDS of 1534 warning events.Seems they are triggered when entering event viewer, when entering the start menu or when I check for windows update. They don't seem to cause any significant performance issues(maybe just an insignificant hang when I do the above things) but nothing tragic just yet. Can I safely ignore this event ?
I have just tried upgrading that machine again now that 17763.194 is out. This build seems to have fixed the virtual switch issue for me. @cereberus, I remember that you had similar issues, how is .194 for you?
I would say yes.
See this thread for some background: New 1809 update now shows this in Event Viewer The actual reference to 1534 doesn't come up until Eagle51's #7 post.
Eagle51 and at least one other member used regedit to calm down the errors, several more just rebooted, and others are waiting for MS and WU to correct the situation. There are references to the hangs that you mentioned.
Thanks for you reply Anak!Since I can't see any other issues aside from the event 1534 Warnings I think I will just ignore the issue for now, since I don't feel comfortable with Regedit, especially since this isn't a computer breaking problem it's just logs.I just hope that MS will actually adress this bug since it just spams the Event Viewer, making other events go unnoticed, and they don't just post an answer like "This event can be ignored".I believe that this is the case but nevertheless this should be fixed
You're welcome @Jigsaw99,
I have had this and DCOM errors to contend with. Although my System One is running okay I patiently await the next round of updates to see if things calm down and they usually do, but my desire to run Windows anymore is slowly eroding with each months version of wack-a-mole where in order to fix one problem two or three others pop-up.
I don't know if I'll be around for Windows 11.
Exactly my thoughts,Anak! I know that software may have bugs, after all it's made by humans and mistakes can happen. My problem is that it is not 1 bug, each update surface so many bugs that you can easily lose count.Minutes ago I saw another bug I think. Each time I open google chrome, a audit failure 4625 event is triggered. I uninstalled and installed Chrome again but nothing changed, event still been logged.Chrome works like charm but still the event 4625 is triggered every time I open chrome. Is anyone else experiencing this?Things are not as bad as warning 1534 event( I have 150 warnings in less than 20 hours) but still I think it's just another bug. Most problably harmless though...
Sadly it is still there, at least for me since yesterday when I upgraded. As I said, I don't feel comfortable with Regedit so I won't do anything that may halt my computer since I absolutely need it functioning. I will just wait and hope Microsoft fixes these things. After all, it's not our job to fix their bugs..
