Just got KB4505056 which has moved the build number to 17763.504. No problems so far.
Got that at 3am this morning, installed and went to bed on the reboot.
Woke up to Windows at login screen which was a good start.

    Hi folks

If you can I'd advise trying latest build (1903 19H1) as soon as possible rather than stick with thhe 1809 releases.

Image your current system just in case though and download latest 19H1 build from UUPDUMP.

I've found it so much slicker than current 1809 build that I'm updating all my machines --I know I'll have to do another update when the RP finally appears - could be next week but doesn't take long and in any case RP will come via standard Windows update.

Currently though if you DO wnat to try out the 19H1 build from UUPDUMP remove any SD cards and USB disks / thumsticks before installing as that is still a defect with the release it won't install if these devices are attached. They work perfectly again after install -- and choose keep programs files etc so you don't lose anything on update.

If it doesn't work for you just roll back but since 19H1 is going to be mainstream very shortly I'd give it a go -- and you don't need to be in any insider program either.

    Cheers

Yeah, I like 1903 much more than 1809. Haven't had a single issue so far.

I want v1903 to be out. My old Intel "Yonah" based laptop will be able to be updated past v1803 at last.

    1903 MCT Availability

I would like to follow jimbo45's advice, however I'm not a windows insider. Where can I get a non-insider copy of 1903's MCT? Thanks.

Does not exsist yet. You'll have to go the UUP Dump route as he suggested, and follow all precautions and caveats and please, please do an image backup first.

Thanks, f14tomcat for your response. I wonder if you have a feeling as to when the 'great under-water basket weaving company (Microsoft)' will roll-out their "Late May" release of Win 10 1903. (I guess I already know the answer: 'Late May'. LOL!)

...or before the Fall/Autumn Feature Update, whichever comes first.

    Hi there

Could be a Y3K project (year 3000 is NOT a leap year unlike Year 2000 -- will windows still be working then !!!!).

    Cheers

Actually, MS may drop Windows all together, and start producing Linuxware instead!
