Always a pleasure...it would have been better if this worked, but again, it's Microsoft we're talking about!

Yeah I believe in keeping it up to date. I've never had a problem with Windows Defender. I can't say the same for other "highly rated" A/Vs I've used a long while ago. That and MBAM keep me in shape.
Sounds like we have the same approach to windows 10 security. I too use Windows Defender. I use Malwarebytes free as well and do a Malwarebytes manual scan at least once a week. So far its been working really well. Ive used this method for about 9 months without any issues. I was a McAfee user for several years previous to that. I had read several good reviews about Windows Defender though so I decided to try it..Ive had no regrets at all

Ditto for Windows Defender and Malwarebytes free. I've been using them since the first version of Windows 10.

After several decades of trying many AVs etc., I also find WD and MBAM to be the best free defense combo.

This morning I used a flash drive created using the MCT to upgrade an HP laptop running Win10 version 1803. Now the laptop is Windows 10 Home version 1809 but it's OS Build 17763.316 which was a surprise to me since I hadn't seen this build mentioned, yet!

When you update with MCT it usually asks you if you want to get latest updates.

To check version of ISO or ESD
