It varies, some have issues with 1803 still, some have issues with 1809.

I have been running 1809 without any issues at all from the original release date on the Release Preview Ring, before it was temporarily withdrawn, due to a very small number of serious file deletion incidents

surprised not to see any updates from MS after January 22!?
No scheduled regular updates until next Tuesday, 2/12, the next scheduled Patch Tuesday round of Cumluatives/Security/Etc.

Thanks for your reply guys. For the few past months we have had so much updates that a week with no update felt strange and not normal :)

Has anyone (who wants to ) who is still on 1803 been able to successfully hide the 1809 feature update with the show/hide tool yet? It never comes up for me. I see the updates for 1803 and defender but never 1809 feature update. I have my ethernet connection set to metered. If I take it off for a few minutes, WU will find 1809 and start the installation at some point.

As a result, I cannot get the latest CU for 1803 because it will bring 1809 with it. And then I have to do a 5 minutes macrium backup image reinstall. Obviously, Windows 10 is ready to give me 1809 without me even touching the check for updates button, but not ready to make it available to show/hide. Is there a way I can force a hide somehow? I'd like to be able to check for updates and get the CUs without fear of 1809 installation. And I'd like to remove the metered connection.

I've been trying to hide it for a long while now.

I can only speak for myself.. I have a fully updated version of 1809 Macrium image saved but I've decided to stay on 1803. I have no issues at all on 1803. 1809 has changed the way it uses accent colors on title bars using a much darker color than before changing the whole look of my system in a way that I don't like. And no easy fixes. Also, my sound is just not as good. Nothing radical, it's subtle, and music just doesn't sound as good and I've tried various realtek drivers and no joy. There are other little things.. right click/new on desktop takes forever to yield context menu... And this is after the really big problems were cleared up. Because of this experience, I'm looking to ride out 1803 till end of service life and then look at options then.. though maybe sooner. In general though I'm finding features updates are just too much work and drama... if they even work well. Now if i can just hide 1809...

Have you tried getting the latest CU manually from the MS catalog and then manually installing it.

Doesn't answer your question on hiding 1809 but does allow you to get the 1803 CU.

No I haven't. I'm going to look into that and try that. Thank you.

I feel like I'm in The Twilight Zone. I just went to double check on the 1803 update version in show/hide and it now is missing. In installed updates, it shows it was installed a few days ago. Nothing I deliberately did or noticed. Yet this morning it showed in show/hide. WU also attempted to install the defender update.. it failed, but I manually installed it via WD in the morning successfully.

I've read the metered connection can behave oddly...

I'd just like to hide 1809 so I can shut it off.

    Added:

Actually, while the cu is missing in show/hide now, the update that was installed was one I removed.
I'm going to try and see if I can install the latest 1803 update manually, thanks.

Ok so I got the update from the info in this thread, I already had the servicing stack so I just installed the 64 bit normal one and now I am at 17134.556. Show/hide is showing nothing available other a microcode update which I hid since I don't know what it will do to system performance. I have to research that one. I know HP provided some bios based fixes. Thanks again.
