Finally gave 1809 another go. Still has the same issues i encountered when it was first made available:

DCOM Errors - Fixed in Regedit
User Profile Errors - Fixed in Regedit
Chrome problem with Aero Snap - Fixed by disabling Aero Snap and installing Aquasnap, a third party replacement.

The latter is a godsend. It has a free version that has all i need. Usual Snap ability plus Hotkeys and 'Magnet' effect to edge of screen.

Could you detail how you fixed the DCOM errors ex actly. I've never been able to fix them since I first installed version 1803 and they still remain in 1809.
I've tried changing permissions in the Registry and Component services but haven't fixed it yet.

You're probably better off just ignoring them, but i copied the GUID from the Error in Event Log, pasted it into Regedit Search and deleted everything that was found.

Brave man, I hope you backed the registry up first

    I wouldn't consider that a fix though.

There's a higher risk of borkage from each and every Windows update than from a few Regedits. I always have an image backup regardless though.

1809 did fix one problem while introducing one new one, so i'm calling the game a score draw. Hopefully the Spring Update will be less of a debacle!

Hope that comes sooner than later. I have that right click menu bug that stalls when trying to create anything from the "New" fly out menu. Quite annoying!

I had that problem until after KB4483235 on the 19th and the problem went away.

Not sure where to look for that info but it's still persistent on my system! I made a folder called "New Folder Folder" on my desktop and put a blank folder in there to copy drag and drop until this is resolved. There was a registry hack I got from another thread here but it keeps throwing errors when I try to merge it with my registry.. even tried to import it from the registry, won't go in!
