    Hi there

    IE 11 will be deprecated (i.e I think in plain English - retired or rendered obsolete) soon so problems with IE 11 are unlikely to get fixed -- my advice is choose another browser --there's plenty out there to use. I don't like edge myself and it looks as if that is also on Life support.

    Cheers

    imho, MS Edge was overrated from the start that Win10 was first released back in July 2015.
    and it looks like in future Win10 releases, MS will "rebuild" Edge into using a Chromium based rendering engine and ditching its EdgeHTML engine as I read this ZDNet article a few weeks ago.

    I would also not be surprised if Windows 10 v1809 gets re-released again in Jan. 2019 with a newer build

    @dustymars

    FF and Opera seem to be OK though if you don't like the others.

    checkout the Mars TV series from Nat Geo channel --have updated my previous post.

    Cheers

    That won't happen. We will get 19H1 (1903) around April, unless MS decides to reschedule the release cycle. We will definitely get a bunch of patches for 1809 until then.

    I updated a computer that doesn't have an SSD, and now programs load much more quickly. Did Microsoft make changes to Windows 10 to increase the performance of HDDs? The performance of HDDs in Windows 10 had always been strangely poor when compared to the performance of HDDs in Windows 7.

    That's one of those bugs that have been known for quite some time, Microsoft already fixed it in the insider build 18234, but they have not yet back-ported that fix to O18U, precisely a few days ago I made some gifs for another forum in Spanish showing the difference between the build 17763 and the build 18298:

    17763.

    18298.

    Got sick of constant updates for 1803 and no signs of 1809 despite clicking "check now" so just downloaded the windows 10 update assistant and clicked "check now" in there. Told me straight away there is an update to 1809 and I am compatible. Downloaded in 5 minutes and is now installing.

    MS update 1809 works okay except now when my mouse passes over the context menu “new” tag is hangs up forseveral seconds the releases. Irritating.

    Thanks, I'll work around it and wait for a fix.
