My main IP machine never checks for updates nor auto reboot. I have to do it all manually.

I don't remember what I did, but I think I tweaked some values in Group Policy Editor and Registry. My other machine uses default settings, updates every day on a consistent schedule.
Sounds exactly like me, Slice! I see a solution to something, it looks good so I try it, it works, and I promptly forget where I saw it or what I did!

Kinda looks like a brain update is in order . . .

If you find a good one to spare, give me a call. This one is a bit broken.

I must say that this time, anyway, I upgraded two Intel and one AMD laptops on October 3rd with no issues whatsoever. It's a pity that these Feature updates can be a case of Russian roulette for customers.

WUMT still works just fine if you want to know what surprises lurk behind the WU Curtain!

    My two cents FWIW:

I want an OS that works. I had it with Windows 7. I don't want another twist on Android with a whole lot of worthless "apps" (which we used to call PROGRAMS) and bloatware. KISS just gimmie something that works like Windows 7 did. When it was proven that Win8 was a failure MS should have just moved backward and prettied it up a little, maybe. I really dislike the store concept and the trash that's in it and I don't like all these games and worthless apps being forced on me when installing Windows 10.

Why not change Professional to a good old fashioned OS that works or create a new version called Windows 10 Workhorse!

Pardon me if there's a prior post by me on this subject; I just posted and don't see it.

Can anyone tell me the latest update to Build 17134? Daughter has 17134.471 updated sometime back in May 2018. Was this the last update?

She's having a problem with her sound jacked way up. This happened out of the blue . . .

She clicked on the sound icon to adjust, but there's no longer a slider so she can't adjust the sound. She has to go into Settings in order to tone the sound down.

This is her business machine, and she really needs to get this fixed, so thanks in advance for any help here.

Edit: Sorry, this is not where I should have put this; thought I was putting it in the Chillout Room "Last one to Post" forum.

It does seem that 17134.471 is the last CU and that it was released on December 11. I also found her a workaround, although cumberson: Settings>System>Sound. The slider is there and she can adjust sound. Just not by clicking on the "Speakers / Headphones" icon; no slider.
