    KB4023057

    Update to Windows 10, versions 1507, 1511, 1607, 1703, 1709, and 1803 for update reliability

    Last Updated: Nov 16, 2018
    -----------------------------------------

They updated this one, to include 1803 and they are pushing it, again, through WU.
I'm still in 1803 and as I have decided to defer FUs for 30 days, I used "wushowhide" to hide it.
Hope this helps someone who doesn't want to move to 1809 now!
Like an update "broom wagon". Microsoft does not test upgrading from anything older than the last current build.

As has been said repeatedly, users wish to retain control of their devices. There may be good reasons why they are postponing updates or have been unable to complete a previous update successfully.

Some will use this as a mechanism to AVOID updates.

There are too many upgrade cycles and too many concurrent service baselines as a result.

It's an absolute *expletive deleted* shit-show. I make no apologies for the description.

Now that any semblance of quality control is out of the window, I really do feel like jumping ship for the first time. OS as a service blows chunks. It should just do it's job. If it can't I will have to look for something that will.

What could be is you should have briefly pressed the power button to resume from hibernation (or deep sleep).

However, entering this power state during an upgrade could produce unexpected results, such as a rollback that you've experienced.
I pressed power button, but screen won't come back. The HD activity light was high though.

It turns out the 1809 update can be blocked for now, if you have certain hardware and software configurations.

Look! Windows 10 version 1809 has even more issues

Ok, i finally tried it a second time with success. No problems with wifi, video..etc (for the moment). The folder Document and is intact and the way i had arranged pinned apps in Start menu. My laptop as you can see in specs section is not that powerful. Seems people are getting more trouble with new systems than old ones.
