Yes, it is normal, after installed, you should see a CU that will change the delta number to .134
Does that mean it is not worth it using the MCT to do a repair install (in-place upgrade) for now, that is?

Windows update offered the CU on all 5 of my machines and they all updated without any problems and are all at ver .134 now.
Of course I downloaded the ESD, WIM iso files, and downloaded an ESD to my USB flash drive. So, for now I am good to go...

Sorry for asking a question I SHOULD know the answer to --but dont!

I'm currently running Win10 Pro x64 build 17763.55. If I did an in-place Upgrade using the build 17763.107 ISO would that yield the same results as running the CU as a stand-alone?

I have BOTH the ISO and the CU, and need to decide which to use.
As I see it either will take you to .107, the version of the MCT, and then the CU will take you to .134

Myself I would just use the CU.

That was my thought, as well -- but when I ran WU and it tried to apply KB4467708, it failed with 0x800f0986 -- which indicates a corrupted Windows Image.

So, it looks like I have to do the repair-install from the ISO.

As your 1809 was running fine not sure why you would need inplace repair.

The file deletion was a conversion activity, that is long in the past. Like in the past MS is fixing things with the CU.

Myself I haven't seen any recommendation from MS to re-install. Has anyone. ???

My older Probook was at the .55 build. Would not update, got error 0x800705b4, twice.

Ran Windows Update Reset from Brink's tutorial, restarted and the updates are processing.

Indeed I agree. USB is much faster than DVD. Save your time and the planet.
Ah but if you already have a stock of the things left over from pre USB stick days, may as well use them, makes no difference to the environment as they already exist in fact using them is better than throwing them away.

Not necessarily to reinstall, but sometimes for one reason or another one might need to do an in-place upgrade and for that, one needs an up-to-date MCT. In a way, the MCT right now in MS download page is not up-to-date. Why doesn't it include the latest CU (KB4467708)?

While I guess today they could have been the same today it would be out of date in December on patch Tuesday.

Yes by all means create and keep a fresh version of the MCT, the one with .107.

It will work just fine to do the inplace repair and if necessary after the repair it will update.
