Update for "Current Status" of Windows 10 October Update on first page.

Date Current Status Affected Platforms Details
November 28, 2018 5:00 PM PT Known Issue
    • Windows 10, version 1809
    • Windows Server 2019
    • Windows Server, version 1809
Mapped drives may fail to reconnect after starting and logging onto a Windows device.

    Symptoms include:

    • In File Explorer, a red "X" appears on the mapped network drives.
    • Mapped network drives show as "Unavailable" when you run the net usecommand from a command prompt.
    • In the notification area, a notification displays, "Could not reconnect all network drives."

Workaround: See KB4471218 for workaround scripts to automatically reconnect a mapped network drive when you log on to the device.

Next Steps: Microsoft is working on a resolution and estimates a solution will be available by early December 2018.

Still searching to solve this nasty , stubborn problem .
Could it be One Drive ?
How to completely remove it , dont use it ..............
If you want to remove OneDrive, go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & Features. Then, scroll down until you see Microsoft OneDrive, click on it and select "Uninstall". That should do the trick.

Uninstalled it in 1803 already and upgraded to 1809 , trying to remove "leftovers" , like FileSyncEx .............
Could disable almost all of these unwanted contextmenu-items ( thanks to shexview), only the " Library" and the "Open Location " still coming back after remove/reboot..........(could use some help to fix this b.t.w.)

As mentioned before in a previous post by another user, you can always try Revo Uninstaller for the leftovers or go directly to the registry and remove them yourself. It is always advised to make a full backup of the registry or preferably a system image backup before venturing into some items deletion in the registry.

If you have the time and feel like it, maybe you should try a repair install (in-place upgrade) and after that go back to Brink's tutorial for another go at it:

Add or Remove 'Open file location' and 'Open folder location' Context Menu in Windows 10

Open Location context menu - Add or Remove in Windows 10
