Doesn't look like it to me; however, from the article:

Unfortunately, this isn't the only bug to have cropped up. It appears that, alongside the Windows Media Player bug, some users are unable to set Win32 program defaults for certain app and file type combinations. Again Microsoft says it is "working on a resolution" and estimates a solution to be made available in "late November 2018". I'd say, with only a week left of November, that's got to be very soon indeed.
I don't use Windows Media Player, so I guess I missed that bug. Secondly, the author doesn't list even an example of the program defaults users are unable to set, so, I'm a little skeptical about that.

The Windows 10 October update's driver issue with Intel-based PCs also hasn't been fixed yet. After Intel inadvertently released versions 24.20.100.6344 and 24.20.100.6345 of its display drivers, which "accidentally turned on unsupported features in Windows", many users have found themselves being unable to use their computers as intended.
The one "Intel" computer (Lenovo Flex 4 14") I have has the regular Insider Preview updates on it, and doesn't seem to have any problems, so I'd say this one will be solved quickly. And . . . it looks to me that this one should be laid at Intel's door, not Microsoft's.

Well its not just WMP but also HP printers that fail to work.
Uh oh! I quit using HP printers a few years back. I have mostly Brother printers (my one HP is a wide bed and in its box in the garage). Brother printers are work horses and just work.

My other system with that "old" regular 1809 works fine with both of my HP laser printers. As both of them were clean installs, I had some problems installing drivers but they work now.

Thanks for this it seems to have done the trick for me!

EDIT: Spoke too soon...just got the notification again with the option turned off as described.
I don't know why you would want to do that (putting your computer at risk), but if you are really adamant about it, you can follow the steps described in the last comment of the same article by "Tung Nguyen". Kind of a workaround to take ownership of the "Notifications" folder from that path:
    %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Notifications.

Remember you are doing this at your own risk. As far as I remember tenforums doesn't like to give advice that would go against the safety of one's machine.

    Hi folks
    I'm stuck at build 1809 - 134

No problems with it so far so I'm staying with it until this rediculous dog dinner of all these various updates can get sorted out.

There's more chaos here with Ms windows releases than the UK and its long suffering citizens is having in its parliament with the unmentionable B----T word !!!!

Who is actully in charge at Ms these days -- can't believe a major corporation -- now overtaken Apple and Amazon as world's nr 1 richest (by stock value) company is so disorganized.

    Cheers

Chaos? Build 17763.134 is for regular users (not insiders) and build 17763.167 is for insiders in the Release preview ring, that simple, if you want the build .167 you just have to join the Release Preview ring or you can install it manually.

    Hi there
    @LEOPEVA64

Thanks for that explanation -- not sure why Ms couldn't have made it easier too than having more Ring Cycles than all the major Opera houses in Europe put together.

For those who aren't into opera or Wagner

Der Ring des Nibelungen - Wikipedia

    Thanks again

So I'll just keep the build I'm on until the next great bit of Chaos.

Cheers and have a good evening.

There is only one Ring that has any bearing on the Public 1809. It is the Release Preview Ring. One. The others (slow and fast/skippy) have no bearing whatsoever on the re-release of 1809 or it's forthcoming cumulative updates. None. One influencing Ring is not too many....it is ONE. You either are on 1809 at level .134, or on Release Preview Insider at level .167. Unless you choose to apply a cumulative intended for Release Preview to your main 1809 to force it from .134 > .167. That is unsupported, but your choice.
