Latest cumulative updates for Windows 10 version 1809 break Windows Media Player (also causing issues with some first-party system apps).
Yes, I saw Brink report that earlier today, it's now reported by Microsoft as a known issue for both 1803....

    Update:
New "Known Issue" below added to the first post for KB4467702.
After installing this update, users may not be able to use the Seek Bar in Windows Media Player when playing specific files...
    Cumulative Update KB4467702 Windows 10 v1803 Build 17134.407 - Nov. 13 - Page 4 - Windows 10 Forums
    ...and 1809.
    Cumulative Update KB4464455 Windows 10 v1809 Build 17763.107 - Nov. 13 - Page 3 - Windows 10 Forums

Try as I might I cannot reproduce the problem in 1803 17134.407 or 1809 17763.107. It would appear the problem is only seen when playing some very specific files, the seek bar works for all the ones I've tried so far.

Edit: and the same Known Issue is in 1709 and 1703...

I'm limited in my experiences and abilities, but like you I haven't been able to reproduce these issues here.

    Hi folks
I can usually like the heiniken commercial - reach places other products can't get to - or similar and I haven't been able to reproduce the media problems -- and this in any case wouldn't be a problem as I use VLC / KODI / WINAMP instead (Winamp essentially for ripping CD's as it has the Gracenote music catalog which is much better for auto tagging obscure classical music when ripping the CD tracks).

I think we should get a new skip ahead build soon too as Dec 14 is rapidly approaching.

    Cheers

Hope so, having few annoyances with this one. For instance, getting notifications that WD found some malware but when I open WD all is clear and shows no history of anything found (and cleaned). Also, when restarted I get a message that some HD Audio driver is installed and need to reboot to finish but no driver is either installed or changed.
Colors of text in buttons for legacy modules/applets still isn't in full contrast with button color and are at times difficult to read until clicked on. It's about time they change all applets to match dark or light theme rest of system is set to.

Mine did also , removed the '" Recovery"-partition to unallocated , then gave this extra space to Win10(C:) .
So, two partitions left on my SSD ( 1809)................

With Macrium backups every 3 days what would I need a recovery partition for? Never really checked into this before.
