I have yet to get the update for my computers. Does anyone have a possible answer as to why? I installed it when it was first released. But due to the bugs, I went back to 1803. The re-release of 1809 has yet to be pushed out to my computers.
MS are being more cautious in their roll out this time. Just clicking 'check for updates' won't make you a "seeker" (as MS called it) and get you the 1809 update (as it did first time round).

Also, some machines are being blocked from seeing the 1809 update until issues are resolved. See the updated first post for details.

If you really want 1809 straight away you can use the MCT to upgrade manually, but my advice would be the same as Microsoft's...

Downloaded 1809 with the MCT tool, did a clean install everything went ok, but major troubles with Windows Store, nothing would download. Spent a few hours trying to find a solution, tried many, went and downloaded 1803. 1809 still sucks.

I don't know why, but you can't defer updates in Windows 10 Home. I don't understand it, but that's the way it is.
I'm having my doubts about Windows Pro updates. I thought I had updates blocked, yesterday I checked my winver and to my surprise It had updated from 1809.55 to 134 without my knowledge or any notification. It's working well.
I also bit the bullet last night and updated my second PC from 1803 to 1809.134 using the first release of 1809 before it was pulled and a manual install of KB467708. It too is running well. I hope MS gives us a break until after the holidays.

If you have used Group Policy to set for notification of updates you will see a message in windows update that for really urgent updates you will still get them automatically. Normally the only updates this applies to would be things like an update for the Defender Antimalware Client/engine. Cumulative update are not normally seen as 'required to keep Windows running smoothly'. Under the circumstances, it wouldn't surprise me if 17763.134 was made an exception to this rule.

Bree I'm thinking the same. I've given up on blocking updates, it's easier to go along with MS than fight their updates.

Every features update has had issues with particular hardware/software. MS routinely block the automatic roll out to such machines until the issues are resolved. Remember Broadcom and the Creators Update?

    Microsoft said:
Blocking availability of the update to devices we know will experience issues is a key aspect of our controlled rollout approach. We decide what to block based on user impact, and blocking issues are a high priority for us to address as quickly as possible. During the time it takes to address an issue, we want to limit the number of customers exposed to that issue. For example, our feedback process identified a Bluetooth accessory connectivity issue with PCs that use a specific series of Broadcom radios, ultimately resulting in devices not reconnecting as expected.
