It will be obsolete in a few days when I set new install and all drivers and programs. I just did a clean install of 107 and it immediately updated to 134 and quite a few drivers. Works good for now. There's only one problem, it installed in legacy BIOS mode instead of UEFI but that I can fix easily. Going to need couple of days to get everything in order, activate with MS account, enroll in Insider Skippy etc.
If you read my response to the question then you will find 1709 was the incumbent W10 when Spectre patches were released. When 1803(4) arrived it was mostly over bar the waiting. So yeah, 1709 didn’t get an updated MCT because it would have been slap in the middle of the AV fuddle with illegal process hooking that the Meltdown fix (Spectre variant 3) didn’t play nicely with.
Is 1809 supposed to drop via WU check today?
Came in yesterday via WU on both of these machines. G's Laptop was halfway through downloading when I checked WU on it.

Yes, you have to draw the line on how many fixes can be cleared before release but their "reputation" is hanging on this being done right.
So, I ask all of you - go with 1809 as it is now, or wait?

I have always had, since day 1 of Windows 10, my branch readiness as 'Semi-Annual Channel (Targeted)' with 0 deffered days.
For the first time, yesterday I changed it to 'Semi-Annual Channel (Targeted)', 30 days.
