    Again....Nick?
Every time they do something new, they have to mess with Spotlight?...It's a prerequisite for all new stuff?
Sorry but I'm not on RP, so I wouldn't know!

So I was finally offered Windows 10 1809 update through Windows Update.
I disabled all my hard drives and other USB items.
I have no 3rd party antivirus, just Windows Defender.
Even went into a clean boot scenario.
I still cannot install this update.
    It gets up to 82%.
Then I get windows 10 update Error "0xc1420121" encountered.
Why is it so hard to install this update onto an SSD drive.
I have downloaded ISO and tried in place upgrades with USB version and with DVD version.
Also tried the windows MCT to update.
I even tried a refresh keeping personal files only and still it failed.
Also used Windows update trouble shooter.
    No problem found.
    Any suggestions guys.

    Hi there @midgo

Why not try the UUPDUMP method to install this update

UUPDUMP seems to avoid problems with updates -- I know it's not "The official method" but if it works !!!! -- Many people in this Forum have had success with uupdump when other methods have failed.

Also of course ensure you have enough space on the SSD or the install will fail in any case.

    UUP dump

browse for the build you want, choose language and edition and then select aria and convert. Program will create an iso for you - simply run the setup.exe file and it should work just fine.

    Cheers

    Thanks Jimbo.

I will give it a try and report back.
    Official or not.
I will be very happy if it works...
