    Odd, all of a sudden with no changes, Windows now will not go into sleep mode, tries to, and then immediately wakes up. Strange.

    Did your video driver update? Did any other drivers update?

    If you restart computer does condition clear?

    Also, check these in your LAN settings. They can trigger it to wake. Set to disabled.

    In my case that wasn't enough (but it started like a month ago..) I had to disallow network controller to wake computer

    Try to generate a report by following the guidelines in this article. The report should be able to give a hint about the culprit:

    Thanks @Brink for the addendum in post #1684. I will take note of that for next time.
    Do you have to wait until next time, wouldn't a report be in the logs?

    Fixed my sleep issue, it was the odd creative x-fi driver Windows Update installed, even when restoring a working driver somehow this messed with sleep, really strange. Still don't see any proper drivers of the entire x-fi series of sound cards.
