Is this release here to stay?
I'll set my defer updates period to zero days in April and see if I'm offered the update then. Best of luck to people doing beta testing from today.
Is it true that context menus have been tweaked again? I'm wondering if the highlight colour is still Grey or do they use the user defined accent colour?
Hi there
@Wynona
Great stuff
I made a great coffee table with a load of the old teak "railway" type sleepers -- got those from the Docks when they were upgrading the crane / container system.
At the time when I took these away people thought I was seriously bonkers --I probably still am in lots of ways -- but now they wish they had taken some of those too.
Plane about 1 - 1.5 cm off the surface all round, poly urathane ot and it's a brilliant piece of furniture that you won't see in any shops.
All the black surface comes off and it's just lovely seriously hard and waterproof wood - but heavy though.
There's all sorts of things around if people use their imaginations (and better for the planert too) -- I hate those modernistic minimalist New York Loft style things -- nothing wrong with warm looking furniture and a bit of clutter (not too much though !!).
BTW CU just updated OK - easy update -- nothing seems broken so far.
@RingTailCoon
the 2nd Right click menu is if you click anywhere on the SCREEN -- your first one is the context menu when you right click on the task bar so task functions -- different functionality -- I don't think it's a defect but a "feature" !!!.
Cheers

Well, I'm well overdue for clean Windows install on this main machine, it's been around since W7 and all technical preview and insider (fast and Skippy) builds. Stil works (almost)fine but feels "dirty".
Only doubt is should I install this one and then re-enroll into Insider Fast or Skippy (if possible) or clean install last Skippy 1809-18227. Due to many programs installed, I can't do it all at once so it may have to be dual BOOT (on another SSD) for a while until most programs and settings are implemented.
Replaced Insider with this latest oem….no problems encountered apart from incompatible setup....retrieved all Favourites etc through having an MS account.
Seems that half of the world is getting the 1809 ISO at the same time.
Although I do not need MCT ISO, I wanted to test it. Downloading the 18 MB MediaCreationTool.exe took over 10 minutes. Launching the tool, it shows 1% progress at the moment, full 15 minutes after I launched it. Download speed jumping between 300 and 800 Kbps:
