Security does not really matter if the computer isn't connected to the internet. A company I worked for use some old DOS version which is network connected. Works very well and I would not upgrade it either, because there is no reason what so ever to change anything.

There can't be many not connected to internet, at least thru main server.

    Hi there
Quite a few places use basic local intranet while Internet access is done on a different server / gateway via controlled proxies so at the individual level machines don't have access to Internet. This can provide quite a good level of security if the people in charge of the server know what they are doing.

Some places also have wifi "Guest accounts" which aren't monitored but usually you can only connect to those via your own phones / laptops and not company laptops etc.

    Cheers

They are probably on the Long Term Service Branch. Even the original release of 10240 (1507) is still in mainstream support, with extended support ending in 2025.

Most probably yes. And security is not a concern for those. Besides, I doubt most corporations are that interested in new features like VR and DXR or any graphical bling. ;-)

Yes, we tend to concentrate on doing the boring work instead and rather care about 100% availability and reliability.

Which is something that cannot be said about borked 1809 release I'm afraid (to start with, as a recent example, as per this thread).

Forever? the latest CU was released in the RP ring just 7 days ago, the CU KB4476976 was tested in the RP ring for just 12 days before being released in the stable version.
