My 1803 test machine now sees the 'Features Update to Windows 10, version 1809' when I click 'check for updates'.

I then restored its Macrium image of 1803 and will leave it to just make automatic checks, so far the automatic windows update has not seen 1809.

I have repeatedly failed to get the 1809 update to install in my laptop. It is a Lenovo i3, about two years old with ddr4 ram. When I first got it, I got W10hp 64 running and then took out the hdd and replaced it with an ssd and installed a fresh iso of Windows on it. When that had enough time to prove its stability, I started using the original hdd as backup, cloning the ssd after each major update.
So far since the middle of December, it has had the following error codes:
    0x80240034 (DEC.)
    0x80070570 (JAN.)
    0x80070002 (JAN.)
    0x80070570 )JAN.)
Only three fails show up in update history.

Has anybody noticed any wireless printer problem with 1809 ? The reason I ask is I have a wireless Canon Multi-function Printer (MB5120). I really don't use it very often, so I normally leave it powered off until I need it. This has worked well in the past.

Since year end occured a couple of weeks ago, I needed to print several year end reports from my accounting software. I powered the printer on, it displayed that it was ready and proceeded to print. I see a message on the screen "Printer is busy doing another function", so I take a look at the printer and low and behold it is trying to fax the report not print it ? I cancelled the print jobs and recycled the power on the printer and tried to print a test page, same problem. Note that this printer has FAX capability, but is not connected to a phone line.

    Time to trouble shoot.

If windows boots up after the printer is powered on, every function works as intended. But if the printer is brought
online and windows is already booted, I end up with this problem. I have validated the correct port names, the printers IP address etc. Everything looks to be set correctly.

Here are the procedures that I have tried to solve this problem (This is with the PC Booted First).

1 - You can delete the printer and then re-add it, and the printer will work correctly.
2 - You can restart the PC and the printer will work correctly.
3 - I did find some new drivers (from Canon), installed them. It didn't change anything.
4 - Tried the same tests on 2 other windows 10 (1809) systems (laptop & Tablet), and they do the same thing.
5 - Tried several different applications, they all fail in this situation.
6 - Also discovered a new Firmware update for my router and applied it, didn't fix anything.

I also searched for similar problems, with no success (Lots of other 1809 printer problems, but nothing that resembles my issue).

I really believe that windows owns this problem since prior to updating to 1809 the printer worked correctly

I need some ideas to further troubleshoot this problem ?

    Thanks.

Despite my earlier comments, my main PC (Pro) found 1809 when I set all the Advanced Options appropriately and "Checked for Updates".

All is good on 17763.253 apart from the aforementioned 1534 Events (User Profile Service) and the well-documented Edge problem Cumulative Update KB4480116 Windows 10 v1809 Build 17763.253 - Jan. 8 Windows Update - Page 11 - Windows 10 Forums

Doing the same as you @Bree - leaving my Test machines on 1803 to see what happens - for another couple of days at least.

I'm beginning to think that auto update will never get 1809 and that you will have to do a manual check for updates to get it via WU. It didn't automatically get it this cycle, only the CU came down.

It has been the case for previous rollouts that it has been done in phases, only those machines most likely to update successfully being in the first phase. I think MS are just being a lot slower at stepping up to the next phase this time round. I expect it will get round to being your turn eventually.

Start a new thread please and post a disk management shot. One error points to multiple system partition.

Strange. I checked for updates and 1809 installed uneventfully on an old laptop of mine that originally came with Vista installed. I had also removed the HDD and substituted SSD... for all the good a SATA 3 drive in a SATA 1 system does.

Two of my computers have been updated to version 1809, but my third computer won't update to version 1809 even if I click on Check for updates. There is no reason why it should be blocked from receiving 1809. None of the upgrade blocks are applicable.

There is no reason. Yesterday I was looking at an old Aspire. He said he was having problems with updates. Clicked checked for updates and he got 1809. My wife's laptop, Asus, won't go. Simple software, no blocks involved
