Went amazingly, blazingly fast to get to 18277.1006 on both test machines. I'm of the opinion, with tongue planted firmly in cheek, that now that 1809 is once again "out" Insider Preview was updated purely to differentiate it and to get the Fast Ring/Skipahead track back in gear. In other words, all that changed was the winver info.

A manager dictates the direction the Company wishes to take....then delegates to those most suited to perform.
Perhaps those entrusted were not up to scratch....you cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
Where I think MS have made a big mistake is trying to install a multitude of mostly unwanted Apps which are causing a myriad of problems.....like trying to get a gallon into a pint pot.

Guys, when I worked we used to always say "stuff" rolls downhill. Meaning the decisions were made way above us and it was passed down for us to implement. We were the ones who took the blame if it all went to crap, and often it did. I am not saying that is the case here. What I am saying is we have to accept that as a possibility.
