Just made a clean install to compare to my old one. Not activated and with local account. Can't see much difference except for my customization of course. I'll make a full backup and fire it every now and than. It's set for "Active development" in Slow ring.

Deactivated Malwarebytes and stopped it starting with Windows this time. Installation was 3.5 hours which is good on this machine. Whether that actually made a difference I don't know.

One slight annoyance is that I have to start the time service on a cold boot. Once started it's okay on a restart.

And as mentioned previously 'view storage on other drives' crashes Settings.

I've flagged this as a problem to the Insider group. But, I flagged this before and never got any feedback or comments about it.
I'm suspecting that nobody from MS ever reads our feedback about problems. They pay a lot of lip service to the value of Insiders, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's as far as it goes.

@jmsync I gave up with Windows Update this 0.5.0-alpha · Tags · uup-dump / downloader · GitLab downloads the files and makes the ISO to mount. Took me 40 minutes for update including running the uup program and doing the update! No errors, easy as pie
Just run exe, is that it? Any special instructions? AMD64, right? I have Intel i7

Speaking of that changes in "Storage", when I click on "View storage usage on others drives", the app crashes.
Yep, crashed here too. Click and gone in a flash! Looks like it even crashed Settings, since it's no longer anywhere to be found on my taskbar.

Since you are one of the chosen few (), how does it look when you sort Date Descending?
I'm not sure, but I think I have it.

So, if I do have it, sorting Date Descending doesn't look so hot.

Although it looks like I sorted the name, I did in fact click on Date Modified, TC.

    Hi there
As previous poster says - simply create iso - I use UUPDUMP and let its script create the Iso -- then install from that either clean install or update -- your choice. You don't need to be enrolled in any Windows insider programs either.

Around 25 - 45 mins average on typical systems done this way (after iso has been created).

On more than 1 system I just image then my install with Macrium and restore to another computer different hardware no problem -- it usually works after getting relevant drivers from internet and windows update. If ist boot fails on restored / copied system then 99.99% of the time the Macriium fix windows boot problems woks a treat.

    Cheers

Thanks. I created ISO, can I just mount it on my C drive or does it need to be on external for update?

(BTW I have no idea why I got this option in File Explorer but it was only on the 32bit version not 64bit version)
I only run 64 bit, Phil. That is, if I have it and it looks like yours, somewhat.

Doesn't have to be on external disk/USB but it has to be mounted so you can start with Setup.exe.

Looks correct to me, the files are sorted first then the folders
