    Hi there
    @CountMike

    That identical version is running on almost every other build I've got of Windows !!!!!

    BTW I don't like the way file explorer now works with mapping Network drives either on this build.

    I'll try now a clean install on the same system rather than an update from 1803. Perhaps I should have updated from a 1809 build. ??

    Nothing to do this afternoon so will give that (clean install) a whirl. Could be something in the previous system is contaminated or something didn't update properly.

    Cheers

    I usually clean install or deploy a custom image after each new Fast Ring build release. Exception is my Windows 10 tablet which is only used as a HTPC to watch subscription based IPTV from my native Finland, tablet being connected to big screen 4K TV with HDMI.

    This tablet had last clean install on June 23rd, 2017 (build 15063). It has always had a digital license. Since that date, it has been upgraded more than 50 times to every new Insider Fast Ring build and never had any issues:

    Notice that script I use to get upgrade history does not show the last upgrade. Tablet is currently on 18272 and only a restart away, upgrade already downloaded and prepared, being upgraded to 18277.

    A few minutes ago, while watching news from Finnish TV on using that tablet, "Activate Windows" watermark suddenly appeared on bottom right corner of the display. Interestingly, it appeared at the very same moment that I got notification about upgrade to 18277 being ready and a restart being required:

    I will restart the tablet now, see if upgrade restores the activation, but somehow I do not believe it. Luckily, I have more than enough valid product keys to active the device in case I cannot resolve this.

    What is happening? Windows Insider team, could you please concentrate in getting your act together, instead of playing with ninja cats!

    @Kari It's not insiders that's the problem this time. There is an issue with the activation servers.

    Yes, I have heard and read about that, but I thought it only affecting 1803 and 1809, not Insider builds?

    Must be, I had it for few minutes after installing 277 but by the time I set everything to my liking and restarted it was OK.

    Hi there
    @Kari

    1) on update (from 1803 build) no prob with activation on this build.
    2) on Clean install I got message "This computer is licensed for HOME - no digital license for PRO found" -- which is total Bovine Scatology as I've never had any Home version of W10 -- always W10 Pro. So I assume the activation servers are hosed up.

    VLC won't install on the "Update". I can't test the clean version yet because I don't want to lose digital licenses so I'm waiting until that is sorted out.

    Problem with Map network drive - as posted earlier in th thread.

    I'll try again with the clean version to see if activation works properly in about 40 mins -- need some "refreshment". !!!!

    Cheers

    Tablet was restarted for upgrade a minute ago, keen to wait and see if it is again activated after the upgrade.

    Had a problem with activation after this update. MS now thinks this is a Windows Home edition rather than Pro and refuses to activate. Have gone back to previous build until it is fixed.
