He is a good guy, in my opinion. His follow up tweets were already making more sense.

If the flack is overwhelming, they should recognise there are issues and really sit back and do something.

No realistic person expects perfection, just a really honest public committment to improve.

Nonetheless, the "buck stops here" applies.

Dona communicating via twitter is symptomatic of the whole communication issue.

I would respect her more if she held a proper press conference and admitted tthings needed to change AND IT WAS HER JOB to ensure that will happen.

Guys, when I worked we used to always say "stuff" rolls downhill. Meaning the decisions were made way above us and it was passed down for us to implement. We were the ones who took the blame if it all went to crap, and often it did. I am not saying that is the case here. What I am saying is we have to accept that as a possibility.
Not only did we at the bottom of the hill take the blame, Steve, but we never got any credit when things went exactly as they should! Those guys at the top got all the credit and we got all the blame.

Too many times I've seen betas that weren't quite ready for prime time go to heck in a hand basket because those in Marketing had promised the product on a certain date, and they weren't gonna let that date pass without delivery because it would make them look bad.

And, since 1809 got pulled, as stated above, "stuff" rolls downhill. Those on the front lines again get the blame.

I'd bet my bottom dollar that if Dona "held a proper press conference and admitted things needed to change", she wouldn't have a job by Monday morning next week!

And quite rightly so. It was a scandal Media got acquited. I doubt he would have got away with it nowadays.
