Line Focus helps make it easier to focus on specific lines of text while reading. You can personalize how many lines of text are brought into focus while reading without distractions, choosing between one, three, or five lines.
A common theme we hear from students, teachers, dyslexia specialists and other reading experts is about making it easier to focus on specific lines of text while reading. Some educators use the concept of Reading Rulers or similar types of devices that can be put onto the physical page, to help students. With this feedback in mind, and following on from the successful launch of this feature in OneNote and other Learning Tools endpoints, we are bringing Line Focus capability to Word Desktop as well. A user can personalize how many lines of text are brought into focus while reading without distractions, choosing between one, three, or five lines. This can be combined with the existing Theme color to allow users to pick a theme color that works best for them. As with other Learning Tools support in Word Desktop we also support editing while in this mode.
Getting Started:
Available in View -> Learning Tools -> Line Focus
Scenarios to Try:
Try the feature out by opening a Word document and navigate to the View tab, enable Learning Tools, and turn on the Line Focus feature.
